I was quite ready to leave the madness of Edinburgh behind, only to pass through Glasgow during evening peak hour traffic, so sadly that is my only impression of it. The peace and tranquility of Loch Lomond was a welcome contrast.
We stayed in a sleepy little village called Arrochar.
