Storm the Castle

Old town Edinburgh is dominated by the castle, which sits on what seems like a huge rock on top of a hill. The views from the castle grounds are amazing and it was a beautiful sunny day, with the occasional downpour, so it was typically Scottish weather.

This was the stadium area where the previous night's Tattoo was performed.
Oustside the war memorial. It was a very busy day and practically impossible to get a photo without other tourists in the shot.

The Royal Mile was packed to the brim with visitors and street performers in town for the Fringe Festival. Edinburgh seems like a vibrant city, that could benefit from a good going over with a high pressure water hose. As could many of the Fringe performers, in fact!
